Half Term Academies
Why not take some time out this half term while your children spend the afternoon at one of our holiday academies. Academies will be running Tuesday - Friday with a variety of activities for different age groups.

Children from the age of 3 can enjoy the many varieties of lessons and activities going on at Sheffield Ski Village. These include Penguin Kinderski and Penguin Adventure, The infamous Sharks Ski Club, Boardwild Junior, Thunder Valley Toboggan Run and snowtubing.
Penguin Kinderski: Age 3 - 5yrs
At Sheffield Ski Village we realize that children under 5 require 1 to 1 tuition due to their size and physical ability. Therefore all our Kinderski lessons are private; which means the instructor is able to ensure that your child gets the most out of our slopes while building their confidence and ability.

Penguin Adventure: Age 5+
These two hour lessons cater for children at every level of ability and allows them to progress at their own pace. Please ask reception to book your child on to the correct level so that they can learn with children of a similar standard.
Level 1 - Nursery slope - first timers.
Exercises on flat area straight running exercises control speed by ploughing.
Level 2 - Nursery slope.
- Revision of first lesson unassisted snow plough from top
- Stopping/snowplough exercises
- Intro to snowplough turns
- Intro to the rope tow
Level 3 - Nursery main slope
- Increased speed control
- Introduction to main slope
- Introduction to button lift
Level 4 - Main slope
- Plough on steeper terrain
- Exercises on steeper terrain
- Ploughing on varied terrain
- Introduction to T-bar lift if appropriate
Learn to snowboard
Snowboard level 1 - Nursery slope

Fabulous Fun for all the Family...
For a child, reaching the top of the South Winter Grain Store is like conquering Everest and that's only the beginning of the fun. There are super slides and hair raising fun to be had on the Leopard Leap zip wire alternativley simply dig to your hearts content in the sand area.
Not all lessons and activities are for Children. We cater for Adults too.

Thunder Valley Toboggan Run: Age 5 -15
Experience over 100m of twisting track and re-create the thrills of an Olympic bob sleigh run.
Snowtubing
Try out the latest craze to hit the slopes! Snowtubing is great fun, extremely safe and your children will love sliding down the nursery slopes in the purpose built tubes.
School Holiday activities
Alpine academies are available throughout the school holidays for ages 5 – 15. The children will be split into groups according to age and will have the option of taking part in skiing or snowboarding lessons with our qualified instructors. The younger children will also have a go at snowtubing or tobogganing.
Weekdays: 2pm – 5pm
Age: 5 – 15
Price: £21 per day
