PEAK PERFORMANCE SNOWSPORTS (PPS) CLUB
Sheffield Ski Village would like to welcome the newly formed Peak Performance Snowsports Club to the slope and would like to congratulate them on receiveing the Snowmark award from Snowsport England. PPS provides high level race training on a Wednesday evening between 7pm - 9pm for skiers aged 7 years and over. The award winning Sharks ski club will continue to run as normal coaching & training children aged 5+ of an intermediate slope standard on Saturday mornings and Thursday evenings. Read more.

Prince Edward meets with young skiers and staff from Sheffield Ski Village in recognition of their work with the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. Prince Edward met 6 young skiers along with Vicky Lloyd (Ski Village manager), Norman Gill (DofE manager – Sheffield), Molly Gill and Martin Askew (Sharks Ski Club chairman) at the Town Hall on Tuesday 2nd June for a 10 minute discussion involving one of his favourite past times skiing. GUIDES 100TH ANNIVERSARY EVENT- WED 20TH OCT
We are pleased to welcome 300 Rainbows, Brownies and Girl Guides to Sheffield Ski Village on Wednesday 20th October 2010. The group will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Girl Guide movement.

SMALL FIRE DOES NOT DISRUPT FACILITIES
A small fire set by arsonists at Sheffield Ski Village has not affected any of the facilities and everything is open as normal. A small section at the top of the ski slope was damaged but staff have worked tirelessly to fix the damage and the centre is open as usual. Read more.

SKI ON REAL SNOW TODAY- Thursday 5th February
Sheffield Ski Village, currently Europe's largest dry ski centre has been covered with 4 inches of snow over night. The ski slopes and ski lifts will be open as usual from 2pm on Thursday and Friday and 9am on Saturday and Sunday. Management commented "These rare conditions are absolutely perfect for both skiing and snowboarding. If you have missed out on a winter holiday this year this is the perfect opportunity to get on piste." Read more.

We are pleased to announce that work is progressing quickly on our extension and state of the art bowling alley, which will be an addition to the bar area. The bowling facilities are due to open in March 2009. Read more.
