Yorkshire Championship 4th (moguls mini's 2010)
The British Artificial Moguls Championship 1st (male mini's 2010)
I had my first skiing lesson on my 7th birthday as a surprise and loved it straight away. My parents took me at weekends and during the school holidays where I made lots of friends and got better at skiing. I then joined Sharks Ski Club at Sheffield Ski Village and I attend every Saturday and have learnt to improve my skiing technique. It has also helped me while on skiing holidays and love to go down black ski runs, off piste and the jumps in the freestyle park.
Aged 9 years old I entered my first competition and loved the feeling of competing and trying my best at skiing. I came 4th (Mini's) in the Yorkshire Championships which was so cool. I then started to train in moguls skiing which is skiing on bumps and jumps and then entered the British Artificial Moguls Championship where I came 1st in Male Mini's which was awesome. I have since started training with the Yorkshire Freestyle Ski Team and have been invited to join them in May 2011. I love to ski and my dream is to one day ski in the Olympics.
Ethan has been offered a place in the Yorkshire Freestyle team A squad which will provide him with training opportunities and the skills needed to hopefully progress to the England Squad.
Information from Pete Styring - Ethan's coach
I have been Coaching Ethan Davis for about 18 months, primarily in Moguls. Ethan came out of the SNO!zone SNO!Camps through talent spotting. He was invited to join Sharks Ski Club in order to develop his technical skills. Ethan now skis at a high technical level for his age and is able to come with variable conditions and complex technical exercises.
Ethan has entered two Moguls competitions in the last 12 months. In the Yorkshire Championships, his first comp, he finished 31st overall, 22nd in the Men's and 4th in the Minis scoring 8.75 points. His next comp was up a level in the British Championships (Indoor) where he finished 13th overall, 1st in the Minis and 12th in the Men's comps scoring 14.47 points. Because of the second score he has been invited to train with the Yorkshire Freestyle Ski Team and will be fully admitted to the team in May 2011.
His potential is to become one of the UK's top Moguls skiers with continued development. Because of his age he is a few years off England selection given the current criteria. However, as England Moguls Coach I will be keeping a close eye on his development and will be directing his performance over the next couple of years with directed coaching and targeting appropriate competitions.

European open rail jam 2nd (2010)
The Brits Halfpipe 2nd (2010)
The Brits slopestyle 1st (2010)
The Brits Big Air 1st (2010)
The Brits race 1st (2010)
Katie Summerhayes is one of the most naturally talented skiers I have ever seen! When she first came onto the Freeski scene at such a young age, I was blown away with her skills, enthusiasm and passion for her sport. What has always made Katie stand out is that she is prepared to step it up more than anyone else and push her limits to another level.
Katie trains super hard and always takes everything in when we're coaching her and what's also great to see is she is always having fun, which I do believe makes athletes much better than when they're doing it just to get the competition results and also makes her the perfect role model for new kids getting into the sport.

Oscar Walker
Age: 9 Birthday: 30th August 2002
Oscar started skiing at the age of five when he had a trial lesson at Sheffield Ski Village. Since then he has been a regular at the Village, skiing either with the Sharks Ski Club or still having coaching lessons with Doug who is one of the top coaches there.
Home Slope: Sheffield Ski Village
Sponsor: Marker Bindings
While skiing with Sharks he was introduced to the moguls and really enjoyed going through the bumps. Andy Longley, the British Champion mogul skier, ran summer ski camps at the Ski Village and Oscar spent the summer of 2009 honing his mogul skills, learning from the best of British talent.
In 2010, and still only 7, Oscar was invited to become the youngest boy ever to make it into the Yorkshire Freestyle Team where he competes at a national level. His biggest achievement to date was to make it to the finals and finish 11th overall in the British Indoor Moguls Championships 2011.
His performances have prompted Marker, the ski binding manufacturer, to sponsor him and invite him to be a member of the Marker Squire Team. Oscar enjoys skiing (obviously), origami, xbox and making lego models.

British Moguls champion (2004 - 2010 )
British ski cross champion (2010)I started skiing aged 3 at my local dry ski slope (Sheffield Ski Village) my parents thought that it would be a good idea for me to learn to ski as I have family that live in Switzerland, so it would make for future holidays. Apparently I took to skiing almost instantly (I can't remember) and since then I have been skiing at least once a week.
Aged around 7 years old I decided that I wanted to try ski racing after seeing the likes of Herman Maier and Picaboo Street competing in World Cup downhill events. Downhill was the only real alpine discipline that caught my eye, but at 7 years old I was not allowed to train for this event and told I needed to start slalom skiing. So I joined my local ski club (Sheffield Sharks) and started to train as an alpine slalom skier. I had some success skiing in the alpine disciplines, but never got to try downhill skiing.
